This page describes how a person consents to receive text messages from the private assistant operated by Jeff Fleischer, sole proprietor, doing business as Grainview Partners. It is published so the consent process can be reviewed and verified.

Only Jeff Fleischer himself and a small number of people he invites personally, such as colleagues and participants in his recorded interview project. There is no public sign-up form, no purchased list, and no third-party lead source. Nobody is added by texting a keyword to a published number.
Consent is verbal and one to one. Before any message is exchanged, Jeff Fleischer asks the person directly, in person or by phone, in substantially these words:
"Can my assistant text you at this number? It only replies after you text it first, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to stop it."Only a person who answers yes is added, and Jeff Fleischer records the number himself. Consent is confirmed a second time by the person's own first text, because the assistant cannot start a conversation.
Frequency varies and depends entirely on the person's own use, typically a few messages within a single exchange. Message and data rates may apply, according to that person's own mobile plan.
Reply STOP to any message to end all messages immediately, reply HELP for contact information, or simply tell Jeff Fleischer and the number is removed.
